I want to share one of my favorite prayers with you. Aren't these wonderful words for us to try to live by? I would love to live every single day by this prayer. If we continually give and not look for anything in return, we will be fullfilled. In this prayer, you can find the truth in what it means to be Christian " to seek to give, and in doing, receive blessings." I feel like it's a constant struggle to continually be 100% selfless but possessing this quality can do so much for your marriage and family!

Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.

Where there is hatred....let me sow love
Where there is injury....pardon
Where there is doubt....faith
Where there is despair....hope
Where there is darkness....light
Where there is sadness....joy
O, Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled....as to console
To be understood....as to understand
To be loved....as to love
For it is in giving....that we receive,
It is in pardoning, that we are pardoned,
It is in dying....that we are born to eternal life.
