Wednesday Playdate

Love these two together! Barrett has been such a doll. He called me over today by saying mamama! My heart just melts. He and Elise were so funny today during our playdate. They danced all around. Barrett does more of a stomping move and Elise just waves her hands in there air.

Rachels Going Away Surprise Party

We threw Rachel a surprise party at Sneaky Petes. My sister and best friend is leaving me to attend law school in Jacksonville. I am so excited for her but we will miss this girl so much! A ton of her friends showed for the big surprise. Bear had so much fun at Sneaky Petes!

Our Two Year Anniversary

Charles and I celebrated our two year anniversary last Friday night at the Gaylord. This is where Charles proposed to me and where we spent our wedding night! We love the Gaylord :) Most of you probably know the story of how we got engaged, but basically Charles proposed to me at his own surprise birthday party that I planned!! It was so fun!

On Friday we started at Old Hickory Steakhouse. They had the best chocolate vanilla martinis! I loved the food and just enjoying my time with Charles. We ended the night at Glass Cactus. Thanks Mimi and Grandad for watching Barrett!

Going Bonkers with Kelly and Elise!

On Friday, Kelly and I decided to take the kids somewhere new. We went to a place in Lewisville called Going Bonkers. There is a special place for kids 1-3, so we thought that it would be perfect for the kiddos. Well, we were wrong! We got there and it was a mad-house. Worse than Chuck-E-Cheese! There were kids running all over and anyone that was in the 1-3 range was crying because they were getting trampled! Barrett actually got ram-sacked by a little kid while we were there. I felt so bad for him! We still managed to have fun with the babies and did find a really fun slide!
Barrett hit a huge milestone while we were there. We were sitting in one of the cars (pictures below) and this cute little girl sat right next to him. Bear being 100% boy, decided to nudge her because he wanted to 'drive' the car himself. She looked at me in disbelief and I said "Bear, let's be sweet, ok?" Then, he proceeded to lean over and KISS her on the arm! I was laughing so hard...and then he kissed her again! All on his own! She looked at me again so confused! She was probably about 3 years old. I'm smiling just writing about it because it was the cutest thing I ever seen. I never told him to kiss her, he just thought that he would be sweet :)

The Small Things that I Get Excited About....

I ordered a coupon organizer. Yes I have become "one of those". I used to look at my mom like she was crazy when she would pull out her binder neatly organized into specific grocery categories. Well, here's mine and I think it's really cute!

Summer and Andrew's Shower!

We went to Summer and Andrews couple shower this weekend in Wichita Falls. We had such a blast. It was fun staying for a night in the good ole' falls. No, Barrett wasn't there but I put in a couple pictures so he didn't feel left out! He stayed with my mom and dad who I'm sure spoiled him to pieces.

I really liked how the hosts threw the shower. It was both men and women but they asked for the gifts unwrapped. They totally skipped the part that all of the guys fall asleep during - the opening of the presents! They were just displayed beautifully on a table for everyone to see. Thanks Summer and Andrew - we had so much fun!

Here are a few pictures of Barrett and his two favorite girls. Since I've been staying home, we've had playdates galore! I have to admit, sometimes I might enjoy them more than Bear, just to have that time to spend with other moms. It's so important to have that support! Barrett loves them too :)

Since my beloved sister is leaving in a couple weeks for law school...we've been trying to spend a lot of time together! We usually do anyways but we've had a couple of extra girl nights lately. A couple of weekends ago we went to Black Friar. It was so fun! We sat out on the patio underneath the misters with Summer, Andrew and Angie. My wonderful hubby stayed at home with Bear!

I want to share one of my favorite prayers with you. Aren't these wonderful words for us to try to live by? I would love to live every single day by this prayer. If we continually give and not look for anything in return, we will be fullfilled. In this prayer, you can find the truth in what it means to be Christian " to seek to give, and in doing, receive blessings." I feel like it's a constant struggle to continually be 100% selfless but possessing this quality can do so much for your marriage and family!
