Barrett's 2nd Birthday Party

Since Olivia is due May 8th, and Barrett's birthday is May 7th....we wanted to have Bear's birthday party early so he can have his day be special and just for him! We did a Thomas the Train birthday party. It was so fun this year because Barrett actually knew what was going on! When he woke up we told him that today was his birthday party and he just got a huge grin on his face.

He had so much fun playing with the little kiddos. We played 'pin the nose on Thomas' and just let the kids run around outside. It was pretty low key at our house but we made sure to make the day special for our little boy.His Thomas the Train cakePlaying with his new corn hole boards from Regan and Jordan! Keila's Shower

We hosted a shower at my house for my cousin Keila 2 weeks ago. It was a lot of fun despite the fact she had to go to the emergency room that morning because she threw her back out! After some meds at the ER, she made sure she was not going to miss her shower!
We had a good time and Keila and Patrick got some great stuff!Mother and daughterSign in tableTree where we hung favors

Off to Daddy's Work!

We took Bear to the airport the other day to see the planes. Charles just started this new job in January at Love field. Barrett was in awe! He loved running around on the plane, sitting in the cockpit and even got to sit in a helicopter!

We are cherishing these last few weeks with Bear since his little sister will be arriving soon! We can't wait for her to be here but we are really enjoying our time spent with Bear. He is such a wonderful little boy. Charles has been traveling so much since we have moved and Barrett really has been an angel. We have so much fun together and he just lights up when his dad gets home!
A little update on Olivia: she weights 5 pds 16 ounces (More than Barrett weighed when he was born!) She is still expected to arrive around her due date May 8th. So about 3 weeks to go! Can't wait to meet our little girl!Bear just thinks he is the coolest!Just like daddy!Sitting in the helicopter

"Barrett, how old will you be on your birthday?"

"TWO!"

A Beautiful Easter Sunday!

We had such a wonderful Easter. We started the day with Barrett opening up his basket from the Easter "Bummy". When we told him that the Easter Bummy left a basket, he was so excited and ran into our living room. He kept putting his hands out, smiling and just shaking but he was so ecstatic! It was the cutest thing ever. In the midst of opening his basket, the door bell rang. Barrett looked up and said "Bummy?" It was so cute that he thought the Easter Bunny was at the door when it was actually my parents!
This year he was all about the Easter egg hunt! We couldn't do it outside since Charles had put chemicals in the grass the day before but we hid them around the living room. Barrett ran from egg to egg eating the treats inside before going to the next one. This year I filled the eggs (I mean the Easter Bummy) filled the eggs with Graduate dried fruit, fruit snacks and cheerios.
After a wonderful mass and brunch with Nana, Papa and Elliott (we did miss Aunt Rachel!), we headed over to Mimi and Grandads for more fun!
What a wonderful day we had. I am so very thankful.Family Pic! See how big Olivia is getting?! 35 weeks!

Easter

Shannon, Hayden and Barrett and I went to go see the Easter Bunny (Eeeser Bummy as Bear calls him) on Thursday. Barrett talked about it all morning and was really excited! By the time we got to there, Barrett couldn't wait to jump out of his stroller! When it was his turn to sit on the bunny's lap Barrett was very curious but very cautious....he stuck around for a picture and a few seconds longer he was ready to get down! I think he did pretty good :)
Holidays just keep getting more fun!

Now speaking to the true meaning of Easter, Barrett has been really cute about praying lately. When Barrett prays at the dinner table, we basically name everybody and everything we are thankful for! He either clasps his hands together or puts them over his eyes. It makes my heart melt. If he sees a cross, he makes sure to tell you that it's Jesus.

God Bless everyone this Easter!
